Casper Lja has now conquered 1231 Km’s on his bicycle ride across Canada. Casper hopes to raise awareness and money for people with Down syndrome and their families. The CDSS is honoured to be one of the charities Casper is supporting and we would like to thank Casper for his incredible dedication. Please join CDSS as we applaud Casper’s amazing expedition.

If you and your community would like to help here is how to contact Casper:
On June 27th 2010 Casper Lja, a local man from Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador, will be riding his bicycle across the country to Victoria British Columbia in hopes of raising 1 million dollars.
The CDSS, NLDSS (NL Down Syndrome Society) and I have been working together to make sure this campaign is a resounding success.
What we are asking people to do in each province is to help support Casper in his goal to create more awareness for Down syndrome, as well as raise 1 million dollars; whether that be donating financially, holding a press conference or fundraising event, or anything else to assist in this cause.
Casper is willing to stop into any city that would like to help applaud him on his inspiring journey. If you would like to be one of the cities he visits on his journey, we would love to make that happen.
On the NLDSS website (www.nldss.com), as well as the Peace be the Journey website (www.peacebethejourney.ca) we currently have a link to canadahelps.org, a website that allows people to safely donate to whichever Down syndrome association they wish. This way, if someone in your province would like to support locally, they can. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me using the information listed below.
Sincerely,
Lora Campbell
